SWMBO has art as her hobby and needs an A3 scanner, not urgently or anything like that, but i have been trawling trademe and quite frankly if i search for A3 Scanner in Printers(to capture those multi function thingies) or scanners 90% of the listing that come up don't actually do A3 scanning they just happen to mention A3 and scanning in the same listing.

Anyway just wanting more pairs of eyes, if you guys see an A3 scanner come up while searching, or one of those cashback deals on the multifunction thingies, just let me know, cheers

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

Free or cheap looks unlikley as A3 comes at a premium. Cheapest one I could find was ~350 (Brother MFCJ6520DW).

If you can wait, wait until they have a cash back deal.

Back in the day A3 scanners were very expensive, quite a premium was paid over A4 models.

You might just have to use photographs in the meantime.

Phtograph does a very good job, otherwise those Brother A3 multifunction scanner printers are quite cheap. I saw one on trademe went for $30 late last year.

Brother are doing cashback deals in February, so the 6520 will end up a bit more than $200

Like others have said a3 ones will be a premium, and I can't recall seeing cash back deals on them. I just join two a4 scans in photo shop
