Hi,

I'm interested in 8x 19" non-widescreen LCDs with VGA and DVI connections (possibly plus a spare or two).

They don’t have to be the same – a matching pair for 4 different desks is what I am looking for.

A requirement is that they must go to sleep (power save mode) when no signal is detected. We currently have some 17” screens that display a test pattern when we disconnect the computer. We’ll be wall mounting so don’t care about the stands.

I'm looking at paying a maximum of $40 each shipped.  Might consider a pickup in Auckland if you have 8 ready on one day.

Cheers
Mike

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

Not sure where you are located.

An option could be Hutt IT as they used to have a pallet load although they may have sold them all:

Most screens will show a test screen with no cable IME. Needs a source pc connected and off for the light to go orange and power down.

Pb had a hell of a lot of ex lease ones when I was last in there.

Doubt you'd get them for anywhere near $40 ea - even with a wholesale account.

My experience is different, though I have only bought individually until now.

Manufacturers vary with this, and even models from the same manufacturer.  For example I've got 2x Dell 17" LCDs that from the front look identical.  One powers down with nothing connected, and the other displays the test pattern continually.  Factory reset of both does not change the behaviour.

You can get for as low as 10 dollars from pc recycling companies on trade me. But they can be hit and miss with scratches and pressure marks. I got a reasonable 10 dollar Lenovo one which I purchased for the stand. The expensive part is shipping as they are quite bulky when unboxed and they are a pain to box if you don't have the original box.

I won't disclose the price as we get a pretty good deal, but Dunamys who sorted us out with 5 matching pairs of monitors and tested them for us as I had specific requirements about the power saving mode and wanted A Grade.  I had to pay a bit more for that level of service (which I am comfortable with), but they were still under $50 per unit.
