Trying to resurrect an old C2D desktop, as Mr. 7's laptop is on it's last legs.

The machine is working, but I only have 2GB of suitable ram (actually it's rated 667Mhz but it's kingston, and it tests OK)

Does anyone have 2 x 1Gb sticks of suitable ram floating about (or 2 x 2Gb) that they'd be willing to donate or sell cheap?  The type required is PC2-6400 DDR2 800 SDRAM (non-ECC)

EDIT: Just reading the specs this will go to 8Gb (it has 4 slots) ... now that'd be amaze

TIA.  I'm in Auckland.

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.
