Hi guys

I have an old PC (about 8 years old) that has been out of use for a while. All the specs below are estimates (I cant remember the exact parts etc):

- Core2Duo E6600
- at least 2GB ram
- at least 320GB Hard drive (there are 2 hard drives in there, I dont remember the size of one of them)
- there is a gpu, I cant remember what it is - most likely an older AMD (back when they were ATI)

The PC still works, have got windows 7 running on it - works fine and no real issues (except its old)
All in a Thermaltake case. It was previously used as a gaming rig. Not expecting much for it ($100). But would rather see it being used in someone's den or a kids PC rather than going in landfill.

I will have a couple of photos up later tonight (or this week).

PM me if anyone is interested. May be open to trades (not looking for anything in particular, but open to offers)

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

Whoops - Didn't realise I forgot that. In Auckland. Pick up from Ellerslie or CBD (or I can deliver if the area falls within my errands' routes within Auckland)

I am in Ellerslie and CBD - can take it for the case, fans and heat sink. Not interested in the rest. Can give you $10. It will certainly has it's reincarnation either as a High Voltage Charger or Load or Battery Analyser - see www.hybrids.co.nz. Or I can swap it for other parts I might have :-)

I've got a similar PC, c2D E6550, 6gb ram, 512mb GPU running W10 and it runs surprisingly well, far from ready for the scrap heap

Good luck with sale, if you have no joy try trademe as this spec machine still creates plenty of interest!

If someone will buy that PC for MB and for the rest from inside, please count me in for enclosure (or case, whatever you call the big box) ...

Found myself short of old fashioned P-4 heat sinks recently - please let me know if you have any...fans/no fans does not matter. Must be flat square not round ones...

Could be doable depending what his response is about the motherboard..which unfortunately is a factor for me :-p

Again not to hijack the thread but my wife runs a HP Compaq 6000 Pro - Core 2 Duo E7500 2.93 GHz 3.5GB which was a purchase from a company who was getting rid of these machines.

I had to downgrade the Vista Business to XP since that is required to run some hardware she has and replaced the HD with a 120GB SSD. I had to find a special build of XP to support SATA.

Anyway in that configuration it runs like a champ. I suspect it would fly with Windows 10 but the hardware is not supported.

RE MotherBoard - I am not sure, I remember it to be an Asus. I will go home and double check what it exactly is. The PC is definitely still usable so would prefer to have it taken as whole.

Just checked the motherboard - can't tell what model it is. It is an ATX case, has a PCI E x16 GPU slot. Funny enough, I am actually coming to Avondale on Wednesday.
