Hi Team

Might be able to get the following equipment from a liquidator if anyone is interested.  It was for the new NZ branch office of an offshore company that went toes up before the local staff got their feet under the new desks.  The gear is either new in box (removed once for configuration) or has been sitting in a rack and powered on for approximately 1 month and then powered off for 5 months.  It's of no interest to me, but a fellow GZer might want to try and pick up a bargain and I'm happy to ask on behalf.

- Cisco 9201 Router with half a dozen modules added (can list on request)
- Cisco 3650 Switch
- Riverbed Steelhead CX255
- Cisco Wireless AP AIR-CAP2602I-Z-K9
- Remote serial console server WTI RSM-8
- 10x Cisco 9951
- 2x Cisco 8831

The gear was shipped to NZ from Europe.  No idea whether there is any warranty validity.  No warranty from me or the liquidator other than that the equipment powers on.  Buyer beware.  Basic inspection possibly available via Skype call or similar.  Auckland CBD location but can ship.

PM me any questions or offers before Monday.

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

I have no further written information on this particular device, and am not likely to be able to get any further info.

I took a video of the rack and the equipment in it, and I can see it is 24 port with 4 SPIF (?) ports.  Top left corner is a USB Micro and a full sized USB connector.  Label on the right of the front above the SPIF ports says Catalyst 3650 24 PoE+ 4X1G

Based on a careful check of my mobile phone video (which is dark but reasonable quality) it looks exactly like this one (based on checking the LED layout, and the port layout): http://img.misco.eu/resources/images/products/100/CIS/WS/WS-C3650-24PS-S//WS-C3650-24PS-S_1600x1600.jpg

neon: what sort of a price are you looking for?

Re-read the first paragraph.

Haha, yeah i read it before. :P

Just wasent sure what you/liquidator might be wanting for these. I didnt actually look up how much these are worth or anything. Sorry, i dont really need any of these at current, just thought i would ask incase if i can find a use for them in the near future.

Reason i asked was, im not sure if the said liquidator had numbers in mind, like say, giving it away dirt cheap? $1? Or maybe they are after NZ market value (which would be pointless because you would likely be able to import them in cheaper, but i wouldn't be surprised)? Or maybe 75% or 50% or 25% of market value?

just curious thats all. :D

*chuckle* OK.

Having a look through previous communication, I have the impression that greater than 50% of the purchase price is being sought at present.

I guess it is the liquidator's job to maximise the return for creditors.  With a 6 month old car that has been reposessed, you can command a pretty good price.  With used (even lightly) IT gear the story is not quite the same - especially high end routers etc where the market is much more limited and buyers don't typically look on the secondhand market.
