One man's junk is another's treasure right?

I've got an amount of stuff that really should be thrown out, I'd hate for it to be wasted.

Item 1. HP 'Media' PC case -

Case only, with a DVD drive of some description, a couple of random cables. I have an old PSU I could throw in if you want to try and piece something together.

Item 2: Magic TV (pretty sure the model is) MTV3600TD

Wasn't picking up signal, HDD has been removed. otherwise in good physical condition and has a remote in case you've got the same model and a damaged case or something.

Item 3: Acer a500 media stand

Great condition, works perfectly, I ended up with two of these and never use either. may have been used for 5 minutes tops. I'm almost certain that the remote is in the box too. Happy to check if someone actually wants it.

Pickup is in Pinehaven, but could bring into Wellington CBD and meet you near the Train station. If you want me to lug the PC Case on the train then you'll owe me a coffee.

I'll add more stuff to this thread as we clear out the basement. Items are available until we do our next tip run.

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

It's a pitty you are in Welly... I can see how that case could find it's reincarnation into one of my Battery Analysers or Loads. HP cases are good. Boys in Auckland gave me few and I reincarnated few scrap into 3 High Voltage Chargers during this Chrismas.

FYI: For those DIY people - PC supply is a source of 12V, 3.3V & 5v high amperage and can be activated without MB.

USB ports can be used in power banks. If you connect a range of USB ports directly to power supply 5V rail - you'll get charger for multiple phones. (standalone chargers are limited to 0.5 or 1A only)

Mother board is a source of few parts which could be used in small funny projects for kids. For example the holder of the MB memory Li 2032 battery (and the battery itself) can be reused to power up many toys or other electronics which is powered by 3 or 6 v

I reuse heat sinks and fans as well.

Less goes into the land fields and a lot of fun.

E.g. recently needed to cut the packaging polysterine - PC power supply + wire from the hair drier heat element did the job nicely...
