Bluetooth speaker that's designed to pair with a computer or mobile device. Safe for use in tough conditions, look it up on the web https://www.jbhifi.co.nz/portable-audio-fitness/wireless-speakers/ultimate-ears/ultimate-ears-boom-2-portable-bluetooth-speaker-phantom/303531/

Brand new: still in the original packaging and never been opened. Got them in a bundle with some other equipment, but don't need them.

I'll let these go for about $200 and throw in shipping. You can pick them up if you're in Christchurch. PM me for details if interested.

Cheers

Is this for one speaker or multiple?

There's a single device. I expect it gives stereo sound, but frankly, since it's unopened, I've never used it, and so can't describe it properly :).

Reviews on it are pretty good, though.

Thanks for clarifying - the plurals threw me off :)

You're right. I've seen it referred to on the web with plurals, but I'm pretty sure its one thing that's shaped like a small log.

I've updated the listing to avoid confusion.

It's got multiple drivers. But I wouldn't call my floor standing home theater speaker - "speakers" because it has a few drivers, tweeter etc.

The Booms and Megabooms are mono speakers - it’s only when connecting a pair of them via the app that they work in stereo. Worth it in my book - we have two Megabooms as our portable “stereo” for holidays etc and they work really well in such a setup.

Pretty wild range of prices. They're currently listed at $269 at JB: https://www.jbhifi.co.nz/portable-audio-fitness/wireless-speakers/ultimate-ears/ultimate-ears-boom-2-portable-bluetooth-speaker-phantom/303531/

If you'd like them, make a reasonable offer - no pressure. Might wind up keeping them.

EDIT: "It", not "them" :)

I would have thought this and its ilk would be widely known as simply a "bluetooth speaker"?

I have two of these at home, they are awesome.

For the price they are the best I have used.

Currently we have 4 UE BT speakers, they are all great.

There are cheaper out there, but few better.
