Purchased two detectors and decided to keep another one.  This was purchased from Radar Direct on 19/12/18 and is fully supported in NZ (not an import).

Looking for $750, any reasonable offers considered.

Am based in Wellington for any pickups otherwise I can post for $10 to anywhere in NZ.

The item is this one: https://www.radardirect.co.nz/product/escort-redline-ex/

The Redline EX is the only detector that supports the frequencies low enough for the mobile vans.  Normally around Wellington I see quite a few but, Murphy's law, have only seen one since I bought it.  Like the pole mounted cameras Mobile vans only put out very low power radar signals so you don't get a lot of warning but this does detect them.

I ended up keeping the Uniden R3.

I'm running the Passport Max (previous to current model). It does detect the vans / poles, but usually not much warning. I'll stick with it for now I think.

For me the R3 is quieter than the Redline.  The Redline has the lower frequencies for the Mobile vans though.

My very old x50 can detect the vans, just next to no warning as the beam is very narrow across the road, so needs reflections ideally...
