neb: A generic reply is "the first one with USB-C, interchangeable plugs for travel, and not no-name on PBTech", it really isn't anything special. It was a j5 but it's not listed any more... sorry an Adam P5, this one. It's a great charger, fits into the palm of my hand, runs my Lenovo no problems, have used it all over the world. Note they don't even mention GaN, but it's a GaN charger. I think it's been superseded by the P7, but PBTech still have the P5.

TBH for power users these days I'd no longer recommend it as a a charger because the world has moved to USB-C. I still use one of these as my travel charger and use USB-C for my laptop and USB-A to USB-C for my phone, but at home I've moved to a dual USB-C charger (a Pepper Jobs https://www.pepper-jobs.nl/en/pd9000.html) which once again is simply an OEM product with a number of sellers offering it.

Right now I'd say the most impressive charger on the market is the new Satechi which does full 87W PD + 18W PD so will fast charge a Macbook at max speed https://satechi.net/collections/power-charging/products/108w-pro-usb-c-pd-desktop-charger

Dual usb-c seems so good. However, cannot find any retailer in NZ selling these 2 models. Any advice?

Size of it is small considering it has two PD ports.

Have used it to charge my phones (Note 10 & S10+) as well as my work Lenovo laptops.

Only available in US plugs unfortunately

So you need a converter to use it.

Which means if you go overseas you can swap it out for a local version (which is why it's branded as a travel charger).

Worth noting that 75w is the total rating. The usb PD is 65w which I think is just enough to charge my work laptop. I want to be sure before I leave my 120w charging brick at home.

That looks pretty cool, and since it uses a detachable figure 8 cable is an easy swap for a local plug.

This charger, which I hope is GaN because of the size:

You should be able to buy a local version of that plug in your destination country from a tronics store.

The charger is rated at 75w total. The usb c PD port is 60w. My Dell work laptop comes with a 120w charger and a 60w usb c docking station. If the docking station charges the laptop then the travel charger should as well. That's if it's not lying about it's watt rating which I need to validate by charging the laptop, while using it from a flat battery, You need to be sure with this stuff.

That's not GaN - it's exactly the same OEM charger as the Satechi and Zero Lemon I have mentioned above.

I charge my Elitebook at 60W (20V @3A PD profile) off this charger.

The Dell 120W chargers are a DC connector. The USB-C PD spec only supports up to 100W (20V @ 5A), and to charge at this rate you need to ensure you have a certified cable. Most laptops only support 60W, 65W or 87W (in the case of a Macbook) so a Dell that only takes 65W USB-C PD will charge a lot slower than using the 120W charger with DC connector.

It also depends on usage, I'm running my Lenovo with a 45W charger and it has no problems even though technically it should be a 65W. Unless you're running it at close to 100% load most of the time you shouldn't have any problems with a lower-rated charger, at least within limits.

I tested it last night and this was my experience. It charges the battery when the laptop is off. It charges slowly when it's on and windows complains about a low powered charger. Admittedly i have seen it do that with the dell 60w usb docking station as well.
