The 2.1mm plug should be fine (2.1 is the internal diameter).

 

I think the linked injector on TM would be fine - assume it means 802.3af not 802.11af. I'm sure @sbiddle would confirm for you though.

 

 

That UBNT power supply is not fully 802.3af compliant and won't work on all 802.3af devices - it uses mode B (power on 4/5 7/8) rather than the standard mode A 1/2 3/6 data pairs.

 

Some 802.3af hardware will power up using this and support both A and B, but lots of devices won't. I'm don't know if Aruba supports both modes.

 

 

Thanks for confirming this @sbiddle; what would you recommend as (the most affordable) power source for a single Aruba IAP-315? (Noting it can be a power adapter or injector, as this AP won’t be ceiling mounted, but just behind a monitor serving a single room.)
