I have a Dell XPS M1710 for sale.

Specs:
CPU: Core 2 Duo T7600
GPU: Nvidia Geforce Go 7950GTX 512MB
RAM: 2GB
HDD: 160GB 7200rpm
ODD: DVD RW

The CPU and GPU are the fastest available for this model. Most have a T2400/T7200/T7400 and a 7900GS 256MB.

This laptop has an amazing 17" 1920*1200 IPS LCD and the best laptop speakers I've ever heard (even has a small subwoofer built in).

It also has many LED's which can be individually set to 16 different colours, or controlled by software (there's plugins for WMP, Winamp and iTunes as well as an SDK).

I've just taken it apart, cleaned all the fans and tightened all the screws so it's in great condition.

I've also reinstalled Windows XP and installed all the latest drivers and updates. I'm including an original Dell XP Home SP2 CD with this laptop.

I've done 5 passes of memtest86+ and over 30 minutes of furmark (on default burn-in settings) and it didn't show any problems at all.

It can emit a high-pitched sound occasionally under some conditions, but only if the internal USB hub is set to compatible (low speed) mode. Setting it to high speed mode in the BIOS (which you'd probably want to do anyway) fixes this problem. This is a common problem with the Intel chipset inside this laptop.

Battery lasts for 1-2 hours under most uses.

I've been using this as my main computer until about a week ago. Finally got sick of the pile of external hard drives I've had connected to this thing and decided to switch to a desktop.

I live in St. Johns, Auckland, but could probably deliver if you're not too far away. Alternatively we could arrange shipping.

I'll probably end up listing this on trademe, but thought I'd first see what kind of offers I get here.
