Hi there,

Because I'm cheap :-) I bought a Navman 30 not so long ago.  trolling through the preferences in the menu, I came across a data logging function.

Being curious, I enabled it - but haven't yet seen on the windows software (or in the manual) how to retrieve or do anything interesting with the data.  Anyone out there done it.  (I'll google later tonight, but i thought I'd ask first just to see if anyone "local" had managed something with it)

It is feature for higher model service such as mileage report, I think they put it in S30 by mistake.

You may able to find log file by browsing thru its internal memory, but not sure about it.

If you're only going to use it by yourself, I suggest to check this site

You can unlock S30 to PDA

No, mileage logging is only on the high-end devices. What you're seeing is an option for GPS logging. If you turn it on you should get GPS logs appearing on your device, I think in \My Documents. These are NMEA logs which can be replayed or displayed, e.g. Google Maps:
