Hello,

We have been told that our IT team is working relentlessly to resolve this issue and it should be fixed by next month. We understand that this has caused inconveniences to many customers, but you can be rest assured that we are trying our best to ensure certain security standards are in place to prevent problems.

We appreciate you patience in this regard.

Cheers

Slingshot

What a joke. Your developers are an embarrassment  Authentication/authorization is web application development 101, it's truly unbelievable that it has taken so long. Sorry to be harsh, but this is comically bad.

It would be good it you could at least accept indervidual IP's to allow as I am on snap and have a static IP. I just use slingshot for VOIP.

I believe the team are implementing other build work at the same time which is causing a delay.

Please keep your feedback constructive, we are here to help.

Thanks
Ben

Then how about providing help.
What is the workaround?

Absolutely, we are trying to get this done ASAP and unfortunately I'm just the messenger.

At this stage the work around is www.visibill.co.nz for billing information and https://webmail.slingshot.co.nz for emails. Otherwise contact us on customerservice@team.slingshot.co.nz , technicalsupport@team.slingshot.co.nz or via forums or social media and we will help with specific questions or issues.

I apologise this isn't back to normal yet and we are grateful for your patience.

As mentioned numerous times its not just the billing. One cannot modify any of the italk settings via the web (ITALK FEATURES)

All of the below web features and settings are unavailable (Since December 2012. Its now 5months later!) to italk users who don't have Slingshot as their ISP.

Five months is a bit ridiculious and I don't have any confidance that it will happen any time soon since we keep being given false dates. Is there any chance of some kind of compensation. I joined iTalk after it was disabled so have never been able to access any of these features.

Slingshot I see you guys are still advertising all of these features on your website besides some of them being unavailable for 5 months now.

https://www.slingshot.co.nz/products/italk/easy-phone/

Maybe its time to remove this info from your site as its very misleading.

Over a month since the above comment.

Any further progress?

Can we still expect to see this being fixed is this month??

Looks like we are just being ignored all together now.

When I joined slingshot they messed up porting my number from my previous telco so took about 3 months to get connected. This involved us calling them about once a week until it was fixed including us having to make back an forth calls between slingshot and our previous telco.

Now after that I haven't been able to change any of my settings. I understand I can do this over the phone but it's quite awkward.

It's quite worrying that they have had this problem for so long. It must be a major security vulnerability yet they are prioritising other work.

I went with slingshot because they had a slightly better plan than other providers. I'm not sure that was such a good idea now and maybe I should look for another provider.

OK seems we were lied to.

Been waiting long enough now for this fix. Think I'm going to move my number over to 2talk.

adios amigos
