tkr001: Actually according to Orcon's website its priced between ufb 30/10 and 100/50 which is about where it sits for most customers I would have thought.

A valid point.  I was comparing it with a 30/10 connection (which is more or less the performance level of VDSL) rather than 100/50.  You're right in saying the pricing straddles the two options.

Snackos:
hio77: for 9db atteuation, your download speed looks a little slow, i suspect no central filter. (one will be installed as part of the vdsl installation)

ild expect you to be about 20~35mbit downstream. (2.5~4.3MB/s around about.)

THanks. I have ordered it. The guy is coming next Monday.

So they will install this central filter? Do VDSL use their own central filter that is not compatible with the ADSL one?

Got my connection, very happy with it. Was seamless, no issues.

very nice, will be interesting to see where DLM settles on, judging by the speeds, you might have a pretty clean bundle there..

Hopefully it doesn't neuter the speed. When does DLM usually settle?

10 days is the training period, assuming your errors are nice, and you are already DLM-1, you will sit there though.

if you want, line stats, and ill dig into them.

This seems like a lot of errors, although I have no frame of reference...

uptime? few CRC errors there, not too bad assuming you have been up for a little though.

FECs are pretty high, normally FECs arent too much to worry about though.

your currently on DLM-4. i cant really make much more predictions without being able to calculate errors though.

Sorry, uptime is about 9 hours. I only got it online this morning. I don't mind if it drops as long as it isn't too drastic.
