Kiwiownage:pchs: Call Centres will always be busier at late afternoon/night, Snap's is 24/7 so if you call early morning or outside of peak hours you are bound to get through alot quicker.
Why dont you just use the Call Back? I've just called them now and its prompted me to use this straight away, it also keeps your place in the queue.

The PABX should recognise your Caller ID so you shouldn't need to leave your number.
