How do you disable IP6 on the fritzbox? I've disabled it on my PC, no use for it yet.

Thanks guys, just figured might as well turn it off since I don't need it. I think I turned it off on the PC because something went screwy a while back. I'd already turned it off apparently.

I'd be interested to see if using something other than a Fritzbox on a connection that has been having disconnection problems has any effect on the issue.

Similar issue here on my VDSL line.

It started since Dec/Jan (can't remember exactly) but got worst recently. I got PPP timeout and reconnect 5-6 times a day sometime and worst no DSL sync every now and then. Multiple faults logged, got chorus check on the line but can't pinpoint anything. Port reset/change brought back DSL sync but PPP timeout issue remained.

Again, no DSL sync happened on 20th Apr. Last communication with Snap suggested a replacement fritzbox to rule it out. A beta firmware OS 6.06 was suggested too, flashed it on 20th Apr late night. DSL sync was back on 21st Apr early morning, not sure if it was chorus or the new firmware, however PPP timeout issue remains!

Keeping my finger crossed that my line could hold up until replacement unit is arrived. In a dilemma if I should consider to downgrade the firmware to OS 5.x, any thought?

BTW, new firmware is now available @ ftp://ftp.avm.de/fritz.box/fritzbox.fon_wlan_7390/firmware/english/

New with FRITZ!OS 6.06:

-DSL: fixes a problem, that could cause certain line cards to crash when changing settings in the FRITZ!Box

-DSL: fixes a problem with bandplan 997

-system: general stability improved

your not getting  PPP timeouts at all. thats DSL dropouts.

you look to have a line fault on your hands.

ild personally suggest 5.21 if possible. 6.0 firmwares have been pretty hairy..

oh my, never actually read the logs properly myself! thought it was a same issue with OP. thanks @hio77

And I just realized that I was getting such DSL dropping recorded almost every single day since I got fritzbox started to forward me the daily overviews, yet none of the chorus technicians managed to pick that up for all the faults opened :(

certainly something you will want to look at.

resyncs like that could affect your DLM profile negatively.
