jnimmo: I don't think business are eligible for the unlimited plan, unless you switched to a residential plan

wups. i missed the word business there!

ok, so what makes a small business different from a residential user ?
I know lots of small businesses that are currently on 50-80Gb monthly plans while there are people posting in this thread saying they can sometimes use 100GB in a single session.

who is putting more load on the system ?

That's the million dollar question. Business broadband is usually higher, but it generally used to mean less over-subscription.

Also perhaps better support pirority?

My understanding is business plans normally have an SLA

Thanks, blackjack17, i guess I'm asking about the snap work services plans rather than the snap business plans. there is no SLA nor any special priority for support on the work services plans. god knows i've spent hours listening to the hold music on the snap support number.

any one from Snap care to comment ?

I'm ringing Snap today to ask them so will update here too.

ps: thanks to everyone so far !!

A corporate plan may have a SLA but a so called business plan does not - its a best effort service only

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, Saw the new unlimited plans, we're on the older 150gb legacy one. The unlimited one is a lot cheaper, called up to change and was told we have to wait until the end of the billing period? That seems really really stupid and a good way to lose customers.

Why wouldn't you automatically change us over? We pay something like $30-40 more per month for the 150gb plan compared to the unlimited one.

You probably pay in advance. I think this is standard with most isp's isn't it? I know it's the same with orcon

true snap send you a bill for a month in advance, i never pay it until afterwards though.  seems crazy to pay in advance for a service like that, you dont know if you will use more (chances are you will for mobile etc calls), be like a power company changing you for a month in advanced (well similar).
