I'll pm you both exact address. Also yes this is prepay so I still expect them to come just not when I'm physically in the area.

Done.

Maungatapere Whangarei.
Pretty sure I'm still in the area.'
If you want the exact address I'll PM.

Yes please (plus #, phone make/model, what you're seeing onscreen signal wise).

First though, please try a manual Network search and see if you can find and lock into 2degrees signal. That would stop it, but remember to switch back to Automatic when you're travelling out of our canopy.

Cheers

PhantomNVD: not quite on topic, but also a stupid message i keep getting (incorrectly) from 2Degrees...

I'm on $19 prepay, mostly for the unlimited txt and data, currently have over 650mins (carryover) and still get the 'out of credit, txt Y in the next 48 to autotopup' txt after EVERY call I make???

I do keep a minimal balance to avoid 'casual rate' charge blowouts, but with so much calling 'credit' WHY do I need balance reminders????

We'll try to let you know if you're running low on your cash, texts, minutes or data balances.  If you're below $2.50 we'll try to text you. You can turn these off by texting 'STOP low' to 233, or you can top-up and keep the balance above $2.50 and you won't receive them.

PM'd you POB my number.
Also I can lock into the 2degrees network just fine and it literally just stays there at full bars(I don't actually go out to any other zone or area so it's just manually locked all day) what is strange is that yes I know that there is 1 or 2 blackouts in my area that it will only do Vodafone 2G so I'm assuming it's just the trees and lack of radio towers to keep signal up.

If you have an active combo and are calling Australia or NZ, you shouldn't get them at all. You should get them once a day if you make some other international call. If you PM me your number I can try to figure out why.

Hmm, I had this a few days ago after moving two phones to 2degrees - one on share everything and another sharing said plan. The receiving phone had voice and SMS, but getting the no data message (and not connecting). I think it was different to this issue though, due to the youth of the account. I think that free 2gig offer had something to do with it, the problem started after the bonus was applied.

In other news, this new worry free data offer is fantastic - 2degrees injecting sanity into the NZ mobile market yet again. PAYG rates are an incredible ripoff.

Yup got this message too. Almost fell over thinking I had sucked through over 20 gig of data since last night when I checked it.

I still like the "upsell" message(s) I sometimes get when paying my bill. I have an unlimited plan etc etc but still get offered $19 style addons plans after topping up.

Last message I got informed me that I had been given 100 free mins for 3 months, on an unlimited plan ... go figure ...

Either way .. Love 2D!

Hi, can you PM me your number so we can look into that. As a Pay Monthly customer you shouldn't be getting an 'upsell' to a Carryover Combo, you're already getting the best value.

Hi, got same message at 5am, they (2degrees) are promoting a worry free data management where if you run out of data they will stop your data allowance until you buy one of their 4 data plans, I thought it a bit strange as I have 9Gb of data

Yes, if you ring the call centre they can sort that out for you.

Judging by the tone of the 2d call center girl when I rang after work they received a large number of calls about this issue today.

Quite happy my phone auto-silences after 10pm, I remember a few years ago I got a message from 2 degrees at some stupid am and my phone hadn't been on silent, ugh.

I LOVE that feature too... keen for trademe push msgs during the day, but hated getting them in the night just cos i was watching an auction that was expiring at 1:30am (!)

and don't get me started on international family that send WhatsApp SPAM at ungodly hours!!!

back on topic, wish I could afford the heafty (even if realistic) mobile data charges for realistic 12Gb and just dump my slow as 4.71Km's copper ADSL internet entirely
