if you want people help, then YOU need to provide enough info for people to be able to help you

We have been trying to help with the information YOU have provided but the help is obviously its not what you wanted, so provide more info so people can better help you or give up on the thread.

I am having the same issue as Markuchi.

Just to add some information I haven't seen already in this thread:

- These issues started for me approx 4 weeks ago.
- I have contacted Orcon support 3 times, still do not have a fix for this issue.
- Other friends not on Orcon Fibre are able to play with no issues.
- Minor issues occur during the day, at around 7pm the game becomes unplayable.
- Doesnt just effect League of Legends for me, also effects Diablo 3 and other Blizzard games (Diablo 3 has the most noticeable effect).

I really don't want to move off Orcon or fibre, but my internet for me is for online gaming, and I am more than likely to give up shortly so any assistance on this would be very appreciated.

Not sure about LOL but Diablo is hosted in Equinix Syd. CSGO servers which I have issues with are hosted in Equinix Syd also.

llu.bng1.nct.orcon.net.nz seems very unstable.

Been playing perfectly all week during the day as I took the week off work, I thought it might have fixed itself.  Didn't get a chance to play at night until tonight.   Anything after 7pm.  I have the issue same as the other guys.  Is perfect otherwise.  FYI I did not play between 530 and 7pm so not sure if it starts exactly at 7pm.  I jumped on about 7:05pm.

I tried starcraft II and necro'd my  Diablo III account to test it I am getting the same issue. 

@Jase.

I have provided all information possible.  It is pretty standard for popular games to hide their server IP's these days.  Just saying if you wanted to help please be clear in what you are doing, as your first comment was completely vague and caused alot of time to be wasted and confusion with the other posters.

Two other posters share my issue.

 

Markuchi and disarmyou.  Where in NZ are you?  I am Hamilton.

Nope, they share your symptom but a different cause to all three. Markuchi is under action to rework a fix that Chorus should have put in already. Hamilton will get tweaked this week all being well, I don't have an eta yet on disarmyou's fix.

We are upgrading your handover port. In your case I am only 50% confident it will improve it as the symptoms you are getting are replicated on other networks and the server you are using has a history of issues inc DDoS by its own users. Obviously you could have the biggest handover port in the world, if the server is being DDoS'd you will still get issues. So no guarantees for you but we will see.

Sorry where are my symtops being replicated on other networks? Everything posted here pretty much points to the oposite?  We need to stop jumping to conclusions please.  You read one old thread about DDOS and that is the cause of my issues??LOL servers attacked every day and they rarely have any issues.  Lets forgot about LOL.  I am getting it in other games.

Its not replicated on my DSL or other peoples DSL connections with other providers.  I am not sure how you are reaching your conclusions, other than continuing on with Jases missinformation, or one tracert to an IP that isn't the server, and the trace actually looked ok to me, not sure how you could draw any valuable conclusions from it.  I would like to try and get to the bototm of this issue lets hope it is the handover upgrade.

Update.

Seeing some people are blaming it on overseas networks.  I decided to test on New Zealand and Australian servers.   Even though I don't really play any games on NZ servers.

League of leagends OCEANIC server.  Ping 30.  Game unplayable as per the american server.
Australian Diablo server.  Game unplayable.
Some random Steam games with NZ servers.  Same issues.

So this has nothing to do with international issues. Or any game specific.

Does not appear to start exactly at 7pm.  Was playing upto around 5pm most days and it was fine 95% of the time.  I jumped on around 6:45 it was semi playable for 5 minutes then just turned to unplayable.  Tried again at 9:30pm.  Not as bad but still can't really play.

I have logged a ticket.

"Unplayable" doesn't mean anything specific, we can't troubleshoot with that. We will need a tracert to a server ip showing the issue. This is what we thought we had earlier with the ip you said was provided "to give an indication", except other users on other networks saw the same issue.

Happy to look at the ticket if you post or pm me the number, or not, its up to you.

I can give you a description of what I am seeing.

I log onto the NA servers, my ping shows as 160-170ms while in game (on the in game display). This value does not change during play. When clicking around in game, my character will freeze for approximately 2-5 seconds, after this time elapses then my character will "fast forward" or what is known in the gaming world as "rubber banding" forward to catch up. 

This effect is common between Diablo, World of Warcraft and League of Legends. I have also noticed similar behavior with Hearthstone though as far as the game is concerned it isn't very noticeable. 

These problems started occurring approximately 5 weeks ago, and prior to this I did not have any issues with any of these games. 

Let me know if there is anything I can do to assist with this (tracerts etc).

FireEngine can you let it go about these people on other networks with the same issue, we established about 40 posts ago that this is not the case, you are just clouding the issue, and there is an issue how about we try find it.

I'm strugling to find an IP of game that can provide any real tests.  I contacted Riot OCEANIA and they were able to provide me with a proper server IP for testing.  Server is hosted in Australia.
