Yabanize: Why should we have to pay $70 or $80 a month to be able to watch our country play rugby, our national sport? Pay per view at a fair price would be great. I think there are pay per view options at the moment but it would be cheaper just to buy a ticket to the stadium.

It should be $5 or something.  Or how great would it be if a free channel could get it

Because they can and it is all professional, and these are all businesses, in business to make money. Plus it is on free to air, just delayed. Don't think going to the game will be any cheaper either, have you seen the prices.

To watch an All blacks game? I think not. You would be paying the best part of a hundy for a single ticket, plus expensive refreshments. Whereas with TV you could have many people watching it.

KiwiNZ:
mattwnz: Looks like the latest rumour is callplus/slingshot.

That would be worse than Sky.

Is 2 Degrees still in the picture ?

Agreed.  That will be the final kiss of death for Orcon if Slingshot gets involved.  I see more Fair Go complaints in the pipeline if this happens.
