Like many of us here I mange my elderly relations PC.

She has an email/account with slingshot. The problem is, email from many of her contacts including me just isn't getting to her inbox.

It doesn't seem to be related to the client in any way (outlook 2013), test emails sent from the account get back to the inbox as expected and some emails do arrive.

She has contacted slingshot and they just tell her to change her settings?

Anyone got any ideas?

Don't use ISP email. Setup a free Outlook.com email address and put a forward in place or set it as the primary account so when they reply email comes from their new address.

well, yes but she has had it for years and years and isn't going to change it now

No, it just seems incoming mail is not making it to her inbox. The sender doesn't seem to get any bounce back.
