1. There is a difference between a 'network issue' compared to 'exchange issue'. When they use those words, it inheritable suggest that its outside of their control.

2. I'm sorry but from a customer perceptive, it certainly looked like it. I could access some sites but not others. I'm not suggesting that it was deliberate but it certainly seemed like blocking at the time.

3. I had nothing but stonewalling when I contacted them. They raised with their tier two group multiple times or so they say? But no response - no calls to check to see if it was working. All I had was one email from someone from the forums and by that time we had a data block applied.

I'm sorry if the guys in the Slingshot forums see this as trolling. However I'm tired of the lack of ownership and I'm even more sick of the forum responses at the time (see previous thread) which work against the issue or attack the poster rather than try and resolve it. I'm going to be flamed for this but look at worldxchange - if someone posts an issue, they help that user and try to resolve it! Complete opposites!

The system slingshot use to throttle you down to 64k never works correctly.

The throttling is also done at slingshots office from what I can understand.
There is no way that the topup block system would go down well with telecom doing the throttling through the exchange part of the network, and you still get full speed to their website and speed test (speedtest.slingshot.co.nz), but not speedtest.net

If you were to tell them that you cannot access certain websites while on 64k, simply do a speedtest at http://speedtest.slingshot.co.nz to proove that the exchange is working correctly and the link is fine between you and their office.

That is so wrong, I was just on Throttleing for two three days and had no problems at all with my connection.
My connection is 256Kbps so I guess that's a Throttled connection.

I think the function of this speedtest is more like the Line speed (for your plan?), it shows you full connection speed to the Slingshot network, with out going through any extra networks. It does work at full speed even when Throttled and I have read that some other parts of Slingshot network are also getting this treatment. ie ftp.slingshot.co.nz *based on information on slingshots forum

CokeMaster, where was the last time you tested to see it your 'Throttling problem is still there?
Have you phoned them this week?

I got a call from a Slingshot manager in the end. After logging a complaint on the 10th of January - it got acknowledged by a teamleader on the 5th of Feb.

I think you'll find that if you are able to access slingshot sites at your plans full speed, then the throttling may well be done on the Slingshot side.

So how did it go? Did they say sorry for taking so long in responding?

I think, your thinking could be correct on that, maybe they could have both had issues when they where dong this crossover.

He had arranged for some slingshot connection parameter changes to be made, and took some other concerns on as feedback.

Was quite good to finally get someone who'd take ownership, though quite disappointing that it had to come down to this.
