Agreed. FWIW I thought it worth mentioning that if there is malware on your network that is causing the increase in usage, you would want to address that regardless of what plan you are on.

Sounds like a ddos attack due to your firewall being down for that short period, had it happen to me before on Orcon when my firewall settings were off on the modem.
