kingP:

ignore if its a dumb question but.... is it a DCHP lease period type issue?

Should I leave it setup for a few hours in order to be issued a new IP / turn off the UNT for half and hour and start it back up?

At present I have been waiting say 15 - 20 mins then trying again.

No it should be fine. The configuration looks fine also. I'll need more information such as logs from your router to see where it is going wrong...

Can you also confirm the NF4V works when you connect that to the ONT. The Edge router needs to plug into the same port on the ONT. Not all the ports work.

So in the end I threw in the towel and got a networking mate in

Good news: Orcon can use 3rd party routers

Bad news: He got it work but unfortunately he used a config file he already had so im not 100% on what needed fixing other than the Masquerade rules needed setting up.

Long story short, get in the pro's!

Hi I'm with Orcon and having just bought a ERL lite, trying to get it set up with UFB,

I have already spent a couple of hours on to it with the help from these threads (have to minimise i/net outage because of kids, even 10mins outage they think is bad!!!!)

I have used the ERL basic wizard to setup, when I compare the 'configure' screen dumps from the CLI in this thread, they look the same

Anyway, I must be missing something in the config as I have the VLAN, eth0, lan 1, shows all 'connected' Status, in the vlan I get the external IP address assigned by orcon etc

DCHP works and I can connect to the network but no internet

Dont think its firewall as I have tried a config with no rules, still no i/net

what to check next??

Got it sorted cry !!!

So i used the basic config wizard, previously user KingP said there were some Masquerade rules needed changing, all I had to do was point the outbound interface to the vlan (as the basic config wizard had set it to eth0 instead)

Firewall/NAT>NAT>Actions>Config select Masquerade

This works perfectly, thanks!!

I just did a fresh install using this and it worked a treat.
