duncanblair:
The guys are reasonably confident things should be fixed overnight, however as with all technological faults this is a best guess. Whatever the outcome of tonights work I will let you guys know in the morning.

Nope, my internet is worse than ever, took 10mins to load geekzone. Sigh. This is so frustrating.

Hi guys,

Apologies for the lack of update yesterday, I am in a pretty remote location, so getting reliable net has been a challenge!

The guys did some work on Tuesday night, but obviously did not fully resolve the problem.

The hardware was going to be completely changed out last night, so we would hope to see improvement today. Would like to hear from anyone who is still experiencing problems.

My speed hugely improved last night, although I still had spikes between 7-9pm.  But not sustained slow speeds at least.

This would be the worst speedtest performance I have had since being with Orcon on there Max/Max plan. WTF is going on ?

Hmm.  I've got a pretty insulting result from Speedtest as well.  I've got a 3.6Mb sync rate(!!!) down, with a 1.0Mb sync rate up (that's if I force ADSL1.  If I let it sync at ADSL2+, it's a 1.0Mb down, 1.5Mb up sync!)

By contrast, here's my test against the Auckland server...

Combine with the static on my home line, and the "9-5 support" and I might just be availing myself of a switch back to Telecom (thanks to their insistence that their service is so great they don't need to lock you into contracts!)

Hi Kyanar,

it sounds as though you may have a dodgy line given that you have static on it - this would be affecting your broadband performance, I would encourage you to log a fault.

Our support desk is open 8am - 10pm currently, not sure where you got the 9-5 from.

I wondered how long it would be before someone noticed :)

Yeah, moved my focus a bit from product management to communications - already spend half my day on here talking to you guys ;)

Still babysitting the product management role at the moment, and will still be on here as one of your points of contact.

Glad to hear your connection is back to normal.
