Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

Indeed.
The last update was that the process will take a couple of weeks, that's 2.
So given we are 1 week down I was wondering if there is a solid date allocated for the planned reboot.

Thanks,
Damian

dauckland: OK

- website is misleading about status of IPv6 availability and will be changed to reflect reality
- reality is that there is no support for IPv6 on Orcon

Not quite true.

We currently support IPV6 on Most access types (as the document says)

Currently we are just missing Auckland UFB from the list. This is a work in progress and should be resolved in the next couple of weeks. It requires a reboot of one of our BNG's which causes an outage to Auckland UFB, which isn't ideal and has to be carefully planned.

Hi there.
Just another polite check.
We are 2 days away from the 2 weeks you mentioned with no sign of IPv6 in Auckland.
Any info and ETA will be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Damian

Whether 2 or 3 weeks some sort of acknowledgment and actual ETA from Orcon would be nice.
I appreciate you are being an advocate.
But given the age of this topic it seems this issue is very long overdue.

Thanks,
Damian

The change to add IPV6 onto our MDR BNG has been scheduled for the 23rd of May. This is the BNG which has the majority of the Auckland UFB subscribers on it, so ipv6 will be available shortly after.

I spoke too soon.
Seems like there was DHCP allocation that came across but routing didn't work.
Then later on the DHCP allocation disappeared.

It appears that the IPv6 rollout has not gone to ahead.
There is still no address allocation working in Auckland.
Apart from the brief appearance over the weekend it's still not available.

Any updates @Sounddude ?

Thanks,
Damian
