@2degreescare not sure why you don't just update pricing for customers that are not on fixed terms..

Another thing: I would love to test your speed boost of 900/400 Mbit/s @ $30 (nice pricing!), but having to pay $50 to change to a lower plan later on is so steep that I will keep on the base plan.

You could have probably sold me on the cheapest speed boost (even with the change fee) if there was a speed bump on upload speed as well.

Just some feedback from a long time customer..

Sorry Dan, Static IPs are currently $10 a month. New IPv4 address are a bit few and far between sadly!

Actually, the scarcity agument for the cost of a static IPv4 addresses does not hold much water these days. Back when everyone was on a dial-up connection, only a proportion of customers would be connected an any one time and the IPv4 addresses could be shared between a number of users. But now, with DSL and fibre, most routers are connected to the ISP 24/7 and so they are all using an IPv4 address already (unless CGNAT is used). So there is no extra cost to the ISP in terms of the number of IPv4 addresses they need to own - they need one per customer, whether they are dynamically or statically assigned.

lets be honest its mostly about generating a bit more revenue.. you should give me a free static ip as thanks to all the business connections i bring you :)

I understand that the downgrade fee is not great, however this covers the costs involved in upgrading and then later downgrading your connection.

In terms of testing, the 900/400Mbps speeds are guaranteed (within expected variances of about 10-30Mbps) - so if you're testing the speeds to see if you can reach them, you should be good to go as long as your devices and the server you're accessing can handle it :)
