Hi all, just to note and verify what @Linux mentions that if your daily free 1 hour pack is not appearing please de-register and re-register in the app.

Please also note that Prepay customers with a Combo in the 14 day 'on hold' period after expiry will not see it either. They will need to top-up and re-activate their Combo.

Cheers

And to get even more, here’s an invite for “4Gb” each extra for free 😉

Sign up to Data Clock and get 4 hours of free unlimited data. Download from https://dataclock.2degrees.nz/share/11qa3w and enter promo code 11qa3w. T&Cs apply.

I was prepared to pay for data clock while I was away from home for a week, however big thumbs up for the free hour - it was enough each day to get my media consumption without

However without fail, my first attempt to use the app every day resulted in an error message "You are not using a 2D SIM Card, try again" - normally cleared with the second attempt, and if it didn't, cleared with a restart of the phone

@2degreescare I also get this message as well  " You are not using a 2D SIM Card, try again " might be something to pass onto the folks that look after the App

2nd attempts it works for me as well, Not a major just an FYI

We have a probable fix for that in test at the moment. :)

Interesting. That shouldn't work ... I mean, it doesn't do you any good, but it might mean that someone could accidentally buy a pack they can't use.

Ta. PM me your number and I'll get the vendor to look into it - that should be controlled at their end.

OK, I've contacted the vendor. The other thing worth mentioning is that it might let you do that on iOS but not on Android. On Android there is a system call to retrieve the current IMSI, but Apple does not let user apps do that on iOS so it's a bit trickier to figure out whether someone is doing that or not.

Oh, I'm not saying that they are doing it, merely that they could. :-)

Apparently the app should have noticed that you changed SIMs and prompted you to re-register. Did you get that prompt?

I have to say - this is great for my commute home each day - I've been watching a bit of Netflix on my bus rides home and it's a nice way to finish a day and get through the drudgery that is a bus ride from central Auckland
