I have an S7. However, I have similar issues with my daughters trusty LG G3.

Yes, will look at WiFi calling when it is supported by more units. While I do enjoy the nostalgic feeling of seeing the 2G/Edge icon on my phone, it would be nice to have a reasonable data coverage (at times of VF cable outtages).

I never said it is a small area. This part of my suburb has a bit of a reputation for having dodgy coverage. This coming from a Spark employee who I know. I need to get more of my neighbours to respond. As pointed out by another poster here, for every one that reports coverage issues, there are multiple who don't or who switch providers (which naturally is a feasible solution)

In my case, the shared carryover data is an absolute must. Nobody else does it quite as good.

This doesn't mean OP gets a tower, but I do think 2D could possibly try a little harder - something which I am highly confident the contact centre has no authority, capability or support to do.

Spot on. I prefer to stay due to value and features (carryover and shared data). Otherwise I'd be with Spark/Skinny by now.

Some responses above suggest that I expect 2D to put a tower just because of one dissatisfied customer. That is not at all what I was suggesting - as I said above, I *know* this area has a reputation for poor coverage.

Changing providers is trivially easy, and Skinny who uses the Spark network is well priced with excellent coverage.

I changed from 2degrees to Spark years ago when I got my first Smartphone, as working in one of the buildings next door to parliament the data coverage was terrible. Spark / Skinny has been very good for me, coverage just about everywhere in the country I go.

@timmmay 2degrees coverage I would say has grown 10 fold since years ago

If it really is a significant area, then by all means get as many people together to complain to us at once as you can. There's little or nothing that can be done for a single customer, but if enough people in the same place all make the same demand, then something can be done. I imagine having a bunch of people demanding a new cell site to improve their service makes a welcome change to the RAN team from the people who demand they be taken down because they think they're being cooked.

I had to question if that was a prison at first with the metal lined walls and recreational area

I guess a lot of these people don't realise public consultation isn't required anymore and they are grouped in 3s everywhere

Seems like un-necessary cost and un-necessary visual impact to not be able to put the 3 Telco's antenna's on a single mast. The real world RF levels are virtually unchanged 100 meters away by having 3 towers. Having regulations restricting the heights of the towers to such a low height also means the towers end up being more numerous which also seems like un-necessary expense and visual impact. Regulation height short towers could be a contributing factor in the OP's situation.

That's right, you can either have one tall tower with everyone on it, or a bunch of short towers with one carrier each.
