Ok, can you guys Download each of these 2 files one at a time, and time how long it takes to download, and also what speed it downloads at.

Only single thread downloads, but if you want you can do both and put both results down. (read posts below if you don't know what I mean)

People who are with slingshot only please.

eg:

Time: 8:49 PM

Plan: FS/128

----------------------[Only if you know how to find this information(normally in router/modem)]-------------------------

Download sync rate: 4736

Upload sync rate: 160

----------------------[End]-------------------------

NZ hosted - 20 seconds at 458KB/s

US hosted - 24 seconds at 342KB/s

NZ hosted file (7.1MB):

http://firefox.adriel.co.nz/Firefox_Setup_3.0.exe

US hosted file (7.1MB):

http://firefox.adriels.com/Firefox_Setup_3.0.exe

I am planning to move to Slingshot, but would like to see what kind of speeds they get first.

PS, I have also posted this in the Slingshot forums, http://forums.slingshot.co.nz/viewtopic.php?p=13267

Results so far form Slingshot forum:

If you use a download manager, with multiple threads, most downloads will be faster.

I just downloaded a file from an orcon homepage. Amazing. Exactly 100kBps. Undecided

Looks like I'm being shaped or something. Nationally and internationally.

Last Friday I signed up to Slingshot and incredibly I was up and running on the Slingshot network the very next day!

All went pretty much smooth, 10/10 for my experience of changing ISPs.

Speeds are pretty much the same as it was on Orcon:
