AidanP:

I've got a mate on MyRepublic in TA and his gigabit download speeds are constantly below 200mbps

Hope they are not testing over Wi-Fi

Phoned them to log another fault.

Apparently, it's due to the power outage in Auckland earlier today.

Ah you must've got the not very helpful outsourced call centre, not My Republic themselves..  :(

Here's my experience for the last three nights at around 8pm

This connection is in Hawkes Bay

Came right last night after about 45 minutes.

No such luck tonight

Does anybody have an in?

We've had issues with all our (6-7) myrepublic connections in the waikato region for the last 2 weeks where we're seeing 100-200mbit down (550 up) on gbit connections and inconsistent overall performance.

Despite 20+ calls to MyR between we've have no actual feedback, no results. 1 callback after threatening to leave, with .. no surprises,  no updates.

Sick of it.

Any recommendations on a new ISP?   I'm bringing 6-7 connections with me.

Requires "gbit" (ono) and static IP addresses all round.

Same here, but it's done it three nights in a row.

This on top of this all the other issues, I'm ready for a change.
