Yeah, our flat are waiting to see the new pricing too. Slingshot are proving to be completely useless, so we're looking to change to BigTime, but want to see what Snap have to offer first (as I personally have always had excellent service from Snap - unlike from Telecom, Slingshot or Xnet)

Must have an active phone line to switch to Slingshot nADSL?

I've been getting the run around this morning from them saying to ring Telecom to get connected, Telecom saying "erm. They have access to all the same engineers, we'd just charge you a months rental and a connection fee for something they can do anyway".

Will get there in the end!

Yup, i got the same from slingshot - its as if they dont want to go through the hassle themselves. I know that snap will do it all for you when you sign up for nDSL

Guys, since I started this thread, I will break the bad news. Since I'm the author of the snap usage meter, I was contacted by someone at snap, and unless I misunderstood, we will be waiting a bit longer for their new plans. I wasn't given a date.

I personally will be staying with snap just because, as previous posts indicate, slingshot do not make changing to them easy. And I'm sure snaps new plans will rock, when we do get them.

Thanks for the update. Snap is pretty much top of the list for me as things stand anyway, so I'll probably sign up with them and wait around for some good news in the not-too-distant future.

Our new pricing structure and plans will be delayed until approx mid this year. I can already hear some outcry so let me give a quick explanation.

We have all of these things in the works:

  • New Residential and Business Websites.

  • VOIP platform & number porting.

  • Construction of a new Snap Office & Data Center (several times larger than our current).

  • New Residential and Business pricing models.

  • New plans - including some QoS/managed packages.

The powers above have decided that this should all be released/implemented at the same time. Everyone in our office is involved in one or a number of these projects and is pretty excited. On top of these new things we are currently involved in the process to be ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 compliant - which is "fun".

In the mean time, there will be some tweaks to our current plans and offerings before the end of the week.

Thanks for your patience and understanding. If you have an idea that you would like to suggest for us to consider, please post them here or send them to me via PM. Everything reasonable will be considered, Snap really does value our customer feedback.

Cheers,
Ralph.
