Setting up a fax for a mate who is on Slingshot with a seperate number and faxability. Anyone able to tell me if a Canon MX320 set to network switch will work on slingshots faxability? That is will it sense a fax and answer automatically and ignore voice calls on that line.

I would very much doubt it. A few years ago, I had an HP OfficeJet and eventually got it going with Telecom FaxAbility. The settings required are different from Australia apparently, and I had to play around with the Distinctive Ring settings, in particular, the ON time vs. OFF time etc until I found some settings that worked reliably.

I would say that it will be a bit more involved than simply selecting "Network Switch". That implies that the network is filtering the calls for you, which isn't the way that FaxAbility works. It's up to your device to filter the calls that it answers thereby ignoring voice calls.
