I signed up as well, by phone to get the free minutes/txt's. Also found this page (https://www.slingshot.co.nz/TheBetterBundle.aspx) on the Slingshot website, so should hopefully get 2GB more data per month as well.

So if I have applied online thinking I would get the texts and mins, I would have to cancel and then call and re-do the appilcation, or can I call and have that sorted out on the application I have made?

Cant call now, just got home and CS closes in 1 min, cant call tomorrow because I am out all day and that BS handsfree law...

That's pretty confusing TBQH as it doesn't say that on the website at all. And it has a signup link on that page where the offer appears.

@Slingshot could you please feedback to your CSR team that there was STILL confusion about the offer tonight around 7-8pm?

I know your team were extremely busy but it's not really excusable for them to be unclear on the terms of the offer when most of their calls were surely to do with the offer itself.

Being the careful person I am, I repeatedly asked for confirmation of the offer details because I didn't have confidence it was being applied correctly. We were at one stage told that it would be a free Nokia 2630 phone (yes I understand we CAN have this phone if we choose instead), and when it came to choosing the plan the CSR didn't appear to understand the concept of free 20 minutes/100 free txts per month.

Anyway, I could sympathise with your new signup desk as it was obviously running hot tonight. Overall good job.

well I clicked the link from the deal linked off the homepage, so if I dont get the free texts and mins then i will be sending it back to them as thats what I thought I was applying for.

I am confident they will get it sorted out tho.

I have had a confusing email from them tho.

I expect the deal on the website.Talked to customer services and they had no idea.The statement from the slingshot guy in this forum just made it confusing.You should not have to ring customer services to get extra stuff(20 mins calling/100 text) when you can do it all on the web site.

Sorry... what was that? If you sign up online you don't get the 100 free texts and 20 mins included?? You have to ring customer service??

Agreed.

In this respect we're changing the offer page to reflect the current situation - you need to call us to get the full offer.

This is all being cleaned up today, appologies for the confusion.

This has been updated now. Have no idea why the mobile phone is mentioned... That email is specifically about your SIM being shipped.

There is a seperate email for the mobile phone.

Slingshot: It seems like it's a browser issue. IE seems to work ok, but not firefox..

Working on a fix now.

Ok thats good that it will all be sorted.

FWIW, there were 2 courier deliverys in the place they leave them thismorning, a big one thats obviously a phone and a envelope which is the sim.

Lots of effort gone into making some nice courier packaging.

Double and triple checked the system. Looks like you picked the wrong phone.. all good, just contact us to swap it.
