My speeds are OK....(tested a couple of times)

Usually around 6-7MB though. And connecting to the San Diego servers...lol 0.4-0.5 MB.

Girlfriend is complaining about godawfully slow Asian (Korean) websites though...Some intl link buggered perhaps?

rdjacobs: can you tell us what your ping and speed to sydney is like

thats crap ping is way to high and your speed is not local like it is usually, whats up orcon ???

I'm just on Purple (not the Orcon+ ADSL2 network) so speedwise that is about max for me. It is true that ping is just over double what I normally receive though.

I really just pitched in to say I'm not experiencing any real net troubles tonight, to help with troubleshooting. For those having slowdown perhaps it is unique to Orcon+, or possibly even geographical.

I'm also on the Orcon purple plan (due to damn cabinetisation) and I'm still experiencing major delays. It's worse than dial-up....They'll definitely be getting a phone call tomorrow morning...

goodluck tomorrow with them fixing the speed issue over the phone you eb first if that happens, its something on there end and they better fix it soon.

Youtube is what really gets on my nerves. Such a major part of the net and Orcon's delivery of it is atrocious.
