Got a text from 2degrees last night to say that they'd had trouble with MMS over the last 2 weeks, they were sorry about it and that it was now fixed. Plus they're crediting me back for the MMS costs charged over that period. YAY.

Tested it and it is indeed now working. So it wasn't settings or such all along (as suspected).

Good on you 2degrees and thanks for getting it sorted.

Aha - Around new years I was having trouble setting up MMS for a family member's Desire (not HD). It was working with my desire HD with the same settings, but he couldn't receive or send them, kept getting a service not activated on network error. So maybe that was the same issue which they have fixed?

Hi, could you also ensure that the APN doesn't have a space after the N. With smartphone keyboards, they can often automatically put it in for you.

Who are you replying to? The issue is fixed, it was an issue at 2degrees end.

Sigh - after this getting fixed and working a couple of weeks ago, I've just gone and tried to send an MMS only to find it again sits there trying to send and it never goes anywhere!

Could someone from 2degrees please check whether this is indeed a network issue again - is there an open job for it? Thanks.

My wife who has an IDEOS (ported from Telecom last weekend), just sent me an MMS without any issues, and I have an IDEOS too.

Hadn't changed any settings on my APNs, default out-of-the-box 2degrees settings.

I know that's no help to you, but just saying MMS is working on the 2degrees network at the moment.

Sorry to hear this has gone down again.
Check that the APN in your MMS settings is 'mms', homepage is http://mms.2degreesmobile.net.nz:48090
and authentication is 'none'.

If it's still not working please PM your number and we'll look into it further.
