I am in the same boat but have given up on ringing and complaining and have pretty much decided not to do anything demanding after 4pm.

Dialup speed? I would post more but they were taking 10mins to complete.

:(

They installed a new cabinet about 100m from my house in august September and it was all good for a few weeks then turned to this for the last few months.

I have also done a number of packet loss tests and they seem to come back with around 2 - 3% of packet loss. I have no idea what is considered normal.

Hi Brookz

You used to be on the Orcon+ netowkr didnt you? For some reason you are on a Wholesale plan now (Probably been put on a cabinet now?)

Anyway, it would seem you got put onto BUBA, I have asked for provisioning to place you on EUBA.

This should improve your performance.

That's not dial up speed. That's ten times faster than dial up. Read more. Also you should test it against a local server near your location, otherwise your tests will show traffic that's outside your ISP's control.

fair call. I did use dialup a good 10 years + ago but as we all know this is not dialup speed but obviously below par adsl.

Looks good so far but I will post some peak time results tonight. TBH though I have never reached these sort of speeds before offpeak/peak.

I'd be interested your your nite time tests. .  I'm on Orcon at Pt Chev, AKL and I get local about 10 ~14 Mbits at nite but lucky if i can pull 2Mbits  intl at nite from news servers in the US or the above Speedtest site

Did the same test at my mother-in-laws  who is on Xtra the other day.  She gets 11Mbits local and I was pulling down 10.2Mbits from the same US news servers..

Must be a LA thing to why I get such bad results from there. Still 11mb/s to America I have to say I am rather impressed.

So what ever orcon did it worked well :)
