I checked out the business deals on the 2degrees website. It's not there but the Terms and Conditions are there in the docs. So its legit and totally awesome

Are they looking for Guinea Pigs for the multi-connect?

These business deals have been available for a while. ChoiceMobile sponsored the Android handsets for our pizza evenings this year. Amanzi here on geekzone is one of directors.

Without sidetracking this thread too much.... By what definition is a business user? given the plans are the same as the domestic pay monthly plans the wife and i are now on could we have combined our two plans under a business account and obtained free calling to each other? This was the single drawback from leaving XT (My favourites extra) so I would love to be able to have free calling between our two phones if at all possible.

The free calling between all members is what I have been waiting for.

Currently paying Vodafone $20 per month for the family plan, but now our family group of 4 (3 on prepay) can switch to 2degrees,  $29 per month plan per mobile, call each other for free, 60 minutes of anytime calling, 1000 txts to anyone, and 50mb national data, not to mention for the first 12 months we each receive an additional 100 mins calling, & carry over minutes!

Each of the prepay connections spend over $29 per month currently on top ups, so this is a fantastic offer. Plus it appears as though this isnt limited to 4 connections like the Vodafone family offer.

Another 4 connections for 2degrees.

Only the $149 plan has been available up till now. The new features are that you can choose any of the normal plans - not just $149 - and that members of the group get free calling between each other, regardless of what plan they are on.

Do they have to be on the same billing though? I mean say I have a group of 5 friends and we want to talk to each other a lot...

Not only do they need to be on the same bill, but at the moment that bill must belong to a business, not a person.

Is that going to change once they hard-launch multi-connect?

I don't know those details (they don't really concern my area - multi connect & single connect services are identical to my systems) but I couldn't go into details on unannounced products even if I did, sorry.

Yes, we're definitely looking for business customers to sign-up, but no you don't have to be a Guinea Pig. :-)

So is multi connect only available for business customers? I couldn't say connect my SIM and data SIM to the same account and share a broadband pack?

Sharing a pack is a different kettle of monkeys altogether. :-)

I'm happy to discuss business plans but I suspect you're after something else. Flick me an email and we can discuss further.

Suppose it is, i just assumed/hoped that with mutli-connect and the existing shared plans, that we would be able to share a mobile broadband pack on the same account. So i could buy the $20 one on my Pay Monthly iPhone and use the same pack on my Data Stick.

Im not after a business plan, but thank you for the kind offer of your time

old3eyes: I only hope that when 2D gets more successful that they don't sell out to the likes of Telstra..

Why not? Telstra could bring in extra cash and or even better deals!

Let's hope you guys also sort out you notification reminders at 2am...

Telstra would make 2D just like Saturn and Clear.  Non  identity  blended into the bland Telstra empire..  I would cut my SIM cards up if they did buy them..

Regards,

Old3eyes
