DjShadow: don't think its XT, reason being there is a CDMA/XT site bout 30-50m east of that site in the photo, and there is a vodafone site further on down K' drive

Edit, I've loaded the Hamilton 2D sites into Google Earth running alongside the locations Bartender did, the "2" is basically bang on where that new tower is going so guessing they are using new design pannels/antennas?

I'm going to pull finger and do a re-export of the RSM database this weekend if SWMBO permits the time and update the site....

Sweet!

Would be nice to have a simple guide on how to do this ourselves. Apparently DSL roadside cabinets can also be mapped in a similar way?

I've updated with some newer way of creating the KML's.

Some feedback if it's better / worse would be nice.

RSM Database dump 18 April 2011

All Cell Sites by Frequency: KML File or Google Maps Link

Telecom: KML Link or Google Maps Link
Vodafone: KML Link or Google Maps Link
Two Degrees: KML Link or Google Maps Link

One interesting thing is that my extract from the Spectrum Search Lite DB didn't show up any 2Degrees in the tron... Not sure why that is. Going to need to check my select statement doing the query into the DB.

I like what you've done with the sites showing whats broadcast from each, would still be nice to be able to get a KML of only telecom 2100mhz sites only though, thats what i most commonly referenced when using these excellent maps.

How about the KML or Google Maps link for that :)

And actually you will see one of the new features I added in too which is the co-lo sites have a "M" flag for multi-site.  Such as Bishopdale in Christchurch where it's a TNZ CDMA & XT Site, plus Voda 900.

That link goes to NewTelecom2100.kml, but the link on your blog still points to tnzxt2100.kml

Two Degrees have not registered any frequency use in the 900mhz band or 2100mhz band yet, but all their microwave backhaul links are listed, also the same goes for Tauranga where they have all their backhaul registered also.

Ok

I've extracted out recent Two Degrees Mobile registrations from the RSM Database and created a KML also Link Google Maps.

I think that covers everything I could find so far.

Doesn't list the frequencies, but does list the locations.

In more than one location in Hamilton, these are pointing to existing sites which i believe are Vodafone sites?
Sharing the towers more than i thought...

These are Microwave sites, so may or may not necessarily be "future" cellsite locations since they could be bouncing a microwave link off an existing site.  But you would assume these site's are coloates ;)

TNZ COLOCATE CAMERON ROAD (BOP-023-015-A)
VNZ COLOCATE PAPAMOA NORTH (BOP-023-018-B)

Time will tell.

The Telecom tower is a large old school microwave link site(dish removed many years ago) in Tauranga south a quite tall lattice structure. Telecom have a cell site at the very top(CDMA/WCDMA) and Vodafone have equipment half way up and at bottom(3G 2100). A logical 2degrees site for central avenues coverage.

The other site is a newer Vodafone tower with a mono pole design with a lattice extension at top. Vodafone gear at top with a decent gap below for other equipment.

I think I found the Telecom Tower

And the Google Maps all sites shows the Vodafone 36279 site more accurately than the Telecom location 15700.

I've e-mailed RSM folks and ask them why they don't re-using their existing locationids so people (ie me) know when they have Co-located services.
