Does anyone still use this service?

I've recently signed up for a trial, and thought its ok enough so I've requested my account to be upgraded to $50 annual.  Used the online interface but it keeps saysing "Coverting to...".

I've emailed both feedback@backflip.co.nz and sales@backflip.co.nz but no response. What's with customer service these days? No phone numbers were found anywhere on their site.

I wouldn't be bothered with them if it wasn't for the unmetered deal with slingshot! Do I have to beg them to take my money!?

Customer service can be variable, but they should get to you eventually.

Yeah the free data is epic, that sold it for me

I have noticed with cheap online companies overseas, that some are now charging extra for priority support, so you get that as an option. Really they should be replying within a few hours during business hours, otherwise a backup service that doesn't have adecent customer service in case of problems  is a waste of time. There isn't really any excuse for a slow reply time.

I havent uploaded to it for ages because it seems that with the reinstall of windows, it wants to back everything up to it again. Total fail like that, or if I have moved files between drives it wants to upload that again instead of moving it in the backup.

Cant handle drive letter changes either. I would like to find a really fast national connection and take my PC to it and do the initial backup of a few TB, but I dont know anyone with one anymore :(

The software they use allows for an initial seed of the data (not sure whether they have disabled this or not), however you should be able to send them a USB drive for them to import.

Other providers using the same software allow this type of initial seed.
