Nice!  Sorry we couldn't be of more help, but we'll get a note made in case someone comes across this in the future.

Just spent a long time on the phone with Orcon tech support who are terrible, which is in stark contrast to the support from Orcon staff who moderate this forum.

I have had a similar problem (similar to this thread) where I have just converted over to fibre and I'm using the supplied Netcomm NF4V white router and suddenly my work Cisco VPN (4500/UDP and 500/UDP for negotiation) stops working...must be the new firewall so I check it, all seems fine but it's not working (no response from the remote endpoint) WTF?

In the end it turns out you need to disable ALG IPSec (Application Level Gateway filtering for IPSec) :

Advanced Setup -> NAT -> ALG -> Enabled IPSEC (disabled)

Anyway Orcon phone support is terrible, the technical representative did not understand the product or the question and referred me to Netcomm, this thread was what finally enlightened me :)

Unfortunately the Orcon call centre support is woeful at best.  I would imagine Orcon could save a bucket load of cash by just putting on their website to restart your router or reset it to factory default every time you have an issue, rather than employing a room full of people to tell you to do this over the phone.  This is all they ever seem to tell me if I call them with an issue.

I agree that the support provided by Orcon reps via GZ is far superior.

alliao: Ok, I don't know what to make of it, it's at least working for me now.

I've had to "untick" the Enable IPSEC box under Advanced Setup -> NAT -> ALG

Once that's off, I can connect.

I came across some people saying it needs to be enabled for Cisco VPN Client to work, but who knew turning it off would work too... this is less than satisfying but at least it's working.

Thanks for your time! And if mod could change the title that'd be great too.... (if anyone else would need this..)

Thank you!  Since I had Fibre installed at home and started using the white Orcon router, I found could not connect to work using the Cisco VPN client through it - yet it worked fine with every other WiFi connection.

I made these changes to the router and it instantly started working.  Thank you!
