Ive recently got fibre install and ive recieved my genius white modem from orcon. after getting the go ahead from ocron that my account was ready i hooked it up to my ONT to there modem annd...no joy. WAN light is solid  but for some reason the DSL light is blinking and no internet light.

Ive rang and they  said that ive been elevated to getting this dealt with a technician and to expect a call within 48-72 hours so in the meantime i was wondering if you lovely people could give me an idea what the problem is?

WAN should be solid. ADSL should be flashing (you don't have an ADSL connection).

Are you sure the DSL light should be flashing? I have a white genius and the DSL light simply stayed off. Have you made sure you haven't plugged in your old phone line? It may be attempting to connect to DSL instead?

i am 100% sure it isnt connected to the copper line.

Yours stayed off because it auth'd on the WAN ethernet via the ONT/UFB. OP's is flashing as it isn't auth'd so it has no valid connection yet.

Looks like a vendor issue, we have raised this with the LFC (UFF).
