We have had a double fibre cut in our network. One in the North Island taking out our 10Gig circuit and one in the South Island taking out another 10Gig circuit.

Everything is on backup links, which is why its a bit slow.

We are working to restoring the down iserve services, but no ETR yet.

Thanks.  Your site is now saying, "which have a repair start time from our vendor of 3pm" are we going to be completely out until then and do you have any idea of how long it will take after then please?  No mail whatsoever, no FTP access.  Answer appreciated, we need to set our clients' expectations.  And what caused the double fibre cut please?

iServe Console access has been restored I am told, the website should update shortly.

FYI. The repair will start approx 3pm, complete approx 4pm then the nodes have to be patched so it should restore connectivity remaining sometime in the 4-6pm period. There were two separate fibre cuts, one farmer, one land slip.

Thanks, so we should have FTP access and mail back by 6pm?  The site is saying, " Engineers have restored service via alternate paths....." which is a tad misleading.

Cheers

Just to confirm - no problems all day or recently restored?

No problems since I first checked at  about 10:30 this morning. Just sent a test email to my iserve mailbox to check, and definitely working. I use D2S so not sure if that makes a difference.

Ok, the team are revisiting this aspect (i.e. Mail and FTP)

Issues with iServe mail should now be restored. The backhaul fibre cut has also just restored so FTP should restore with that.

I have noticed that the shared secure certificate at https://www.iserve.co.nz/users/ is down. Not sure if it is related to this outage, but  images using the secure url of the secure certificate don't load, but it does via the direct non secure filename  of url

Also the hosting control panel is painfully slow now, infact it just doesn't load the next page. Not sure if that is related too.

Thanks. I have logged a ticket via the HMC with more details about the shared SSL if needed.
