Probably going to have to provide a little more detail if you need help.

DHCP from where? Your own router?

My router currently cannot get dhcp on the wan interface.

Have reset the ont.

Optical light is steadily flashing rather than intermittently blinking to data

ok it *just* came back online. there was another outage earlier too

edit .. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand dead again

Only issue Im aware of has been in Palmerston North which was restored by the back-haul carrier this morning, not sure why this didnt make it onto the website status.

They still use ATM links? 




Chorus has spent $1.4 billion on making their xDSL broadband network faster. If your still stuck on ADSL or VDSL, why not spend from $150 on a master filter install to make sure you are getting the most out of your connection?

Well that's what I thought, but the OP thinks that's what you still use :(
