Just FYI I tested last night at time of your post, but couldn't login for some reason.

I was getting 100/20 in Auckland on USB. From the lack of posts in this thread lately I'd say the problem has been largely remedied, maybe an admin should consider winding it up.

Is it ridiculously slow for anyone else tonight ? Getting 13-15 instead of 100... Hasn't been this shocking in awhile.

Yup me too.. About 13-15 as well.. Auckland.. On 100 ufb. Gave up and went to bed when I couldn't watch twitch.

Yep, yet another night of sub-standard UFB '100' service from Orcon.
13-14 down, here too at the moment, 9:40pm.

For those that spoke too soon, you need to be aware that the problems are far from fixed... they just happen to occur less frequently now.

Getting really high latency to Aus over the last week or so.
Anyone else have the same issue? Mainly during peak times.

Dear Moderator,

It seems clear the issues that sparked this original post have been fixed.
Might I suggest we lock this post down as it will just keep going on forever as new issues or small individual issues pop up and go away.

 

Anyone with issues, I would suggest that if you have a issue please call the helpdesk posting on here will not help at all.

I got 7mbps for about an hour and 20 up (lol) on Saturday night noKappa

But they said it's my end and there's no issues,even though several posted on here last time there was a slow down.

Guess it's in the too hard basket now ??

Agree - I believe the problems still exist, but they are just less frequent now. I personally don't believe it has reduced to isolated incidents.

If you check your connection speed / latency on any Sunday night during 830pm-10pm ...you might be in for a surprise. The last three Sundays have all dropped to 8-14 down speed with high (local) latency, let alone international.

Anyway - I have begun the process of changing ISP 'due to global mode', so this is my last post on the matter.

I agree, this isn't resolved.

I have an open ticket with Orcon regarding degraded performance.
Here is the smokeping of the Orcon DNS from my connection for the last 3 days showing degraded performance (increase in ping, packet loss during peak hours)
Smokeping for other other Orcon servers are near identical and anything outside the Orcon network show higher levels of latency/packet loss at exactly the same time.
The last 3 days
While my download speeds are affected I've focused my ticket on the latency and packet loss to Orcon, As this rules out variables making it easier to gauge.
