Publius: I thought fastpath doesn't work with pppoe and/or NAT?

No to pppoe but yes to NAT laughing

The whole idea is to speed up NAT transactions, see http://download2.mikrotik.com/news/news_65.pdf

Mikrotik are quoting up to 900Mbps NAT on an RB2011 WAN port.

See http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Fast_Path for supported interface type and conditions. Note ChangeLog for 6.30rc19 has additional new features now.

MadEngineer: Well, that worked :)  too bad I didn't run a test prior to the update but my 951-2n (as supplied from a MTCNA class) hits 10% CPU during a speedtest.net download @ 27.5Mbps

I picked a popular torrent from a random site and again, 5-10% usage for up to 3MB/s for 270 connections

Good news :-)

What about the same test with the Fastrack turned off ? It would be good to see what actual difference it makes on your connection :-)
No change to the speed of course but CPU usage jumps up 10% when the feature is disabled.
