For another alternative to ADSL - are you in an area where you can get Wireless Broadband?

While I was waiting for the Fibre to go ahead I ended up getting a Skinny Wireless Broadband modem to "tide us over".
Best piece of advice I ever got.  It was ordered one day, arrived the next, plugged in and just started working.

Yes there is a limit, but it was sufficient for our needs.  YMMV :-)

Thanks will consider this as I suspect I will be without internet for a while.

chevrolux: always thought we should have that tagged under our profile and make it a compulsory field?

There used to be a Country field but it was removed - my memory may be faulty but I seem to recall that there were privacy issues/complaints related to its removed. Now imagine the reaction if there's something even more granular.

With that said, an optional field could be useful. But I digress!
