Hi, 53db is around 4km of cable which would typically give around 3-4M/s sync, if 4km sounds right (I dont know where you live in relation to your exchange) then your probably going as good as it gets. If however think you are infact much closer than 4km to your exchange then you may have some issues to resolve.

Edit: between your modem and the DSLAM when you force ADSL1 (.dmt) it appears they are targeting a very low S/N 6dB whcih will explain the unstable connection.

Cyril

dont put much stock in the db for this modem it is artificialy high as every other modem i've had and used on this connection tells me 49~50 min/max where as the huawei somehow creates extra attenuation for no real apparent reason other than to mess with the snr

g.dmt.bisplus SNR Margin Down/Up(dB) 11.5 / 12.5
Attenuation Down/Up(dB) 53.0 / 33.8
VS
g.dmt SNR Margin Down/Up(dB) 6.5 / 12.0
Attenuation Down/Up(dB) 56.0 / 31.5
