I dont think orcon and telstra are expanding their networks at the moment as telecom has ramped up the speed they are installing their adsl2+ cabinets. Something like 5 a day they are doing at the moment, or was it 25???

Oh also if you are in napier, you should already see ADSL2+ speeds. If you were on the orcon network directly, it wouldnt be much faster, as orcon would either put the adsl dslam at the exchange (like telecom have at the moment) or they would put it into a telecom cabinet (like telecom will be but its not there yet to be put into)

I am finding the dates on the telecom rollout maps are way out. Some people are finding they have been cabinetised 5 months before the telecomwholesale maps say they will be.

patznz: People still use bebo?

Is this relevant at all to the topic? Don't post if it's not going to be useful information in this thread.

I recommend visiting the chorus.co.nz website and view the spreadsheet which advises when cabinets will be migrated to ADSL2+.

I havent looked at the site since my local cabinet was upgraded. It may only specifically outline only a year ahead though.

Late last year, I checked the Telecom website which said that my local cabinet was scheduled to be upgraded in April 2009. I checked Chorus's website in November 2008 and it stated Jan 19 2009. On exactly that day, my cabinet was upgraded.

- Telstra HTC Touch Pro2 - Energy ROM WM6.5.5 20 Oct/Cyanogen Mod Froyo 2.2 - R.I.P
- AT&T Galaxy S Captivate 16GB on XT (now with brother)
- Samsung Galaxy S2 on XT- Runs ICS 4.0.3 Resurrection Remix 9.2
- Business Hours - Work In The Electricity Industry, After Hours - DJ/Turntablist - Will Scratch Vinyl For Free'
- What's next??? S3?

The chorus website has the lists of cabinets where they have had significant delays such as bad weather, council problems or anything else causing delays.
