Does anyone else notice that towards the end of the billing cycle ( the 22nd is the last day for every orcon user ) that the usage meter gets more and more behind your actual usage?

I have noticed this for the last 8 months or so, probably 5 out of those 8 the meter is not displaying a figure close to your actual usage until the billing cycle re starts

Generally the meter is only a few hours behind your actual which is good, except on the last few days.

I pay close attention to mine, and it feels reasonably accurate. I say "feels" because I don't actually reconcile my traffic count to theirs, but when I downloaded a couple gig yesterday, the usage jumped up within the hour.

I noticed this today also, it's not the end of the world as I'm not close to my cap, this time..

Though its still better than some other providers I've used

I have noticed it's not terribly accurate. For the last few months I've gone over my cap because the Orcon meter has said I've still got xx GB remaining. Cacti (monitoring my modem) has always been more accurate, indicating I'd downloaded more than Orcon was telling me, but I'd been assuming Orcon should know better. I no longer trust Orcon, relying on Cacti instead. I realise Orcon's meter only reports up to the previous day, but I don't think it's accurate.
